Jane is a character in the movie Descendants, played by Brenna D' Amico. She is the daughter of the Fairy Godmother, and is known to be shy and insecure, but is fascinated with magic, even if her mother doesn't let her use it.

Appearances[]

Descendants[]

Taught to never stray from goodness, she is fearful of the villain kids and particularly wary of their forbidden magic, but a special spell from Mal changes her outlook. Mal convinces Jane that her mother's magic wand would be able to change her looks, causing Jane to think about taking the wand during Ben's coronation.

Jane attempts to steal the wand, accidentally destroying the barrier around the Isle of the Lost. After the incident, Jane's self-confidence is restored by Mal, who tells her all the positive things she thinks of her.

Descendants 2:[]

Jane debuts by pulling Mal aside to discuss Cotillion details, of which she is planning, unintentionally causing Mal to be late to class and adding more anxiety to her life. She appears again after the Swords and Shields practice, still hard at work, and fails to recognize Carlos trying to ask her out. She's finally cornered by Carlos while on the phone trying to help navigate the placement of the ship. When she finally understands he's been trying to ask her out, she's ecstatic and declares she's "the luckiest girl in the world". They share a hug and later go to Cotillion together.

Descendants 3:[]

Jane first appears on Carlos's arm right before Ben's proposal. She later has a birthday party which Carlos runs late to. Audrey shows up, angry that she wasn't invited, and puts everyone to sleep. Jane evades the sleeping spell by ducking under the waters of the Enchanted Lake. She uses the super soakers to carry extra lake water with her as she tries to find help. She's the one to call Ben and notify him that Audrey has stolen the wand and the scepter.

Jane later runs into Carlos, Jay, Harry, Gil, and Dude after they've found Beast Ben in the woods with a splinter. She douses him with lake water, releasing him from most of the effects of the spell though he still retains a beard and some fangs. Jane journeys with them back to Evie's Cottage, where she receives a birthday gift from Carlos. She leaves shortly afterward with Doug and Gil to find Fairy Godmother. They stay with her mother until the stone spell is broken and Jane later attends the Royal Engagement Party. When the barrier is broken, she expresses nervousness to meet her boyfriend's mom, Cruella De Vil.

Descendants: Wicked World[]

Jane returns in the animated short series Descendants: Wicked World, voiced by Brenna D'Amico who also portrayed her in the live-action film.
